Meet Glenn A. Deig, Attorney at Law

Glenn Deig claims Evansville, Indiana, as his hometown and graduated from F.J. Reitz High School with honors. His undergraduate studies took him to Wabash College and summer classes at Indiana State University Evansville, now the University of Southern Indiana, then on to Trinity College (Carmarthen, Wales) for the Spring 1984 semester. During his undergrad work, he achieved honors and multiple Dean’s List placements. Glenn received his law degree from the School of Law at Indiana University and has been licensed to practice law in Indiana since 1988.

However, his education did not end with completing his formal schooling. Glenn says of his inspiration, “I always love research and the constant learning. The end result is I can help individuals and their families…a very satisfying career.”

Glenn has been a member of the Indiana Bar Association and the Evansville Bar Association since 1988. Deig is certified as an Estate Administration and Probate Specialist by the Board of the Probate, Trust and Real Property Section of the Indiana State Bar Association. He has also received certification as a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation.

As an elder law attorney, Glenn is qualified to assist clients with all aspects of elder law, estate and long-term care planning, including the following:

  • Planning a strategy to pay for long-term care
  • Advising on asset protection and trust planning
  • Dealing with the complicated Medicaid laws to qualify for coverage while protecting as many assets as legally possible
  • Estate plans to protect assets and avoid or minimize taxation
  • Establishing guardianships and conservatorships
  • Creating durable powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney, and living wills
  • Estate administration

In addition to his professional expertise, Glenn is involved in many community organizations. He has served on the West River Advisory Board as well as the board of Evansville Junior League. He is a member of the West Side Nut Club, and stays active in sports organization including the Parents Club at Reitz High School and R‑Men Club.
